Technical description of the drilling rig

Base superstructure

Located on the turntable. Turntable rotation speed is 4 rpm. Consists of an engine compartment, with power pack and operator's cabin. A mast is attached to the basic superstructure, by means of a parallelogram/pantograph kinematic system. A counterweight is located on the rear of the base superstructure.

Pivoting mechanism

The drill rig can rotate 360° and is designed to be able to drill in any position. A brake is activated during drilling to prevent accidental movement of the machine during the working phase.

Cab

The operator can control all rig functions with hydraulic joysticks from the cab. The cab is heated and air conditioned.

Hydraulic System

The rig is equipped with a dual circuit main hydraulic pump providing a maximum hydraulic fluid flow of 166 l/min at 300 bar.

Rotator

The hydraulic rotator of the Lechner LH45 drilling rig is equipped with two detachable, adjustable hydraulic motors connected to a planetary gearbox. The rotator is equipped with a stroke limit switch.
The rotator is controlled from the operator's cab and the speed can be varied from 0-60 rpm).
The maximum torque of the rotator is 4 5 kNm, achieved at a speed of 8 rpm at a pressure @ 300 bar.

Main hydraulic winch

Linear force @ 300 atm - 60 kN
Linear speed /adjustable - 50 m/min.
Automatic rope feeding - yes

Auxiliary hydraulic winch

Linear force - 15 kN
Linear speed - 40 m/min

Mast

The length of the mast base element is 10,000 mm
If necessary, depending on the task, different types of extensions and headers can be installed. The machine shown here has a mast head for Kelly rod drilling.

Kinematic system

The system of moving the mast vertically forward and backward with respect to the axis of the base machine is realized by means of a pantograph (parallelogram). This system allows the mast to be moved vertically, relative to the base machine, for a more convenient positioning of the drilling tool at the drilling point, either on the side of the drilling machine, in front of it, or behind it, without any movement of the chassis.
This system also allows multiple holes to be drilled without moving the machine. It allows side tilting of the mast by 4 degrees, forward/backward tilting by - 4/87 degrees.
